In short: PDF Reader requires no account and does not upload your documents to MoonSpace servers. Advertising services are gated by release configuration and applicable privacy choices.
1. Developer information
PDF Reader is provided by Guangzhou Yueheng Technology Co., Ltd. under the MoonSpace Technology brand. For privacy or product questions, contact Developer@moonspace.work.
2. File access and processing
The app accesses a file only when you choose to import, scan, or process it. PDF merging, splitting, conversion, encryption, signing, and watermarking are performed locally on your device. Imported and generated files are stored in the app's private directory.
3. Camera and system file picker
The scan feature uses Google ML Kit Document Scanner when available and offers system camera or gallery fallbacks. The selected scanner or camera interface manages camera access; PDF Reader's manifest does not request direct camera permission. To provide its core document-management function, PDF Reader may ask for Android's “All files access” permission so it can find, open, organize, rename, move, or delete supported PDF and Office documents across shared device storage. Before Android settings opens, the app explains this use and offers a restricted mode that works with files you actively import through the system picker.
Device document discovery runs locally. Document contents, filenames, file paths, and the resulting local index are not uploaded to MoonSpace, Google Mobile Ads, Pangle, or any other third party by the scan.
4. Data collection and sharing
Document contents, scans, passwords, OCR text, proofread text, and translation text are not sent to our servers, analytics services, or advertising services. When you use Web to PDF, your device connects directly to the HTTPS website you enter under that site's privacy policy. Google supplies optional ML Kit models, while OCR and translation inference run on device. When enabled, Google UMP, Google Mobile Ads, and Pangle through AdMob Mediation may process consent signals, IP-derived approximate location, product interactions, diagnostics, and device or advertising identifiers for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. Firebase Analytics may process app interactions, device and app information, approximate location, and installation identifiers for product analytics; Firebase Crashlytics may process crash logs, stack traces, diagnostics, device and app information, and installation identifiers to improve stability. Firebase Remote Config processes installation and app/device information to select product settings. Meta App Events may process app launches and interactions, device or advertising identifiers, IP-derived information, and diagnostics for analytics, attribution, advertising measurement, and fraud prevention. These services do not receive document contents from PDF Reader. PDF Reader does not sell document content.
5. Data security
Documents are stored in the app's private directory and cannot be directly accessed by ordinary third-party apps. When you choose to share a file, only the selected destination app receives temporary read access. Commercial-service traffic uses encrypted transport; document files are never attached to those requests.
6. Data retention and deletion
Files remain on your device until you delete them in the app or uninstall PDF Reader. Files moved to Trash can be restored or permanently deleted by you. Uninstalling the app normally removes all files in its private directory, so export or share any files you want to keep first.
7. Third-party services and components
The app uses Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, Meta App Events, Google UMP, Google Mobile Ads, Pangle through AdMob Mediation, Google ML Kit Text Recognition and Translation, PDFBox Android, Android WebView, Bouncy Castle, and AndroidX. Google, Meta, Pangle, and websites you choose to open are governed by their applicable terms and privacy disclosures. Network commercial runtimes require valid release configuration; advertising requests are also gated by consent state.
8. Privacy choices
Where required, PDF Reader displays a Google-certified consent message before requesting ads and provides a Privacy choices entry in the app.
9. Children's privacy
PDF Reader is not specifically directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features, SDKs, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be published on this page and reflected in the applicable store data-safety disclosures before the affected release is distributed.
